Day 1: Arrival

After a pleasant arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be welcomed by our representative, who will initially meet and greet you. After a short introduction of himself, he will transfer you to your dedicated hotel within Arusha City for your night stay.

Day 2: Arusha/Tarangire National Park (120km – 1½hours)

Breakfast at 07:30am. Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 09:00am and drive on tarmac road 120km to Tarangire National Park (2,850 sq km or 1,005 sq mile’s) for game drives. Lunch picnic there after lunch continue with afternoon game viewing in the park, a home to Lion, Leopard, Elephant, buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more… Over 450 species of birds have been observed. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park/Lake Manyara National Park (70km – 1hour)/Arusha (190km – 3 hours)

Breakfast at 07:00am, followed by drive on tarmac road 60km with lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km or 127 sq mile’s) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives. The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. In this park canoeing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This is a great way to see the park from a new perspective. Later afternoon we drive back to Arusha for the drop off at your hotel, where you booked for the night bed and breakfast basis/or Drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.

    Enjoy a day of game viewing in the park. On guided drives, spot a great variety of big game, including lion, elephant, black rhino and buffalo, as well as a large and varied population of lesser game. Wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and gazelle congregate around each shrinking water hole along with rarer species such as eland and oryx. The swamps of the park are home to more than 500 varieties of birds, the largest number of breeding species in a single habitat anywhere in the world. Even from the comforts of your lodge, you can admire the sweeping views of acacias and baobabs, as well as the Tarangire River and the wildlife that throng its banks, especially in the dry season.

    Day 4: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

    After breakfast, depart by road for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, check in to your safari lodge, which sits directly on the rim of the massive Crater. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon to explore the grounds of your lodge and take in the exceptional views.

    Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

    The world-famous Ngorongoro Crater spans 100 square miles and contains one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. The “Big Five” (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant) can be found, along with most other species that call East Africa home. Away from the crater itself lie several superb spots for hiking and trekking, or simply relaxing and taking in the views.

    Day 6: Serengeti National Park

    Continue by road or air on to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is the iconic game park of legends and dreams. With no fences or manmade barriers, the park plays host to one of the last great wildlife migrations on Earth. During your time here, attune yourself to the natural rhythms of the plain, which have remained the same for millennia.

    Option: Follow the footsteps of the Great Migration! Depending on your dates of travel, stay in another area of the park to mirror the typical path of the vast herds roaming the plains throughout the year.

    Day 7 – 8: Serengeti National Park

    Option: Soar above the Serengeti on a spectacular sunrise hot air balloon ride followed by a sumptuous champagne brunch.

    Day 9: Departure

          Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

          While close to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park is very different. On our game drive through the scenic park on the edge of the Great Rift Valley we explore the unique ecosystems such as the groundwater forest, open forests, grassland and the soda lake and observe animals like elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, and with some luck even lions.

          Day 4: Hadzabe and Datoga

          This day is clearly a highlight of the tour, bringing us close to Tanzania’s native tribes. Early in the morning, even before breakfast, we head out into the bush with the Hadzabe, the last hunter gatherers in East Africa. They show us how they find fruit, berries and other staples and hunt animals. After a break back at the hotel, we visit the Datoga. We encounter the blacksmiths, the traditional Datoga handicraftsmen, who produce various tools, arrowheads and jewellery.

          Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

          Early in the morning, we drive to the bottom of the Ngorongoro Crater. We enjoy the abundance and diversity of wildlife in the crater – among them all Big Five. Expect to see zebras and wildebeests, meet some lions and with some luck glance at the rare rhinos.

          Day 6: Trekking in the Ngorongoro Highlands

          From Nainokanoka, a typical Maasai village, we walk through the Embulbul Depression, a fertile plain in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

          Along the way, we see Maasai villages and encounter Maasai herdsmen guarding their livestock with wild animals grazing in the same area. At a pre-arranged point, our driver guide picks us up and drives us to Empakaai Crater where we enjoy a stunning view from the rim of this forested crater and observe flocks of flamingos in its lake.

          Day 7: Serengeti National Park

          We leave the highlands and continue our journey to the Serengeti plains. Along the way, we visit Olduvai Gorge where some of the oldest hominid remains were discovered. From there it is only a short drive to Serengeti National Park. We focus on observing wildlife and enjoy the vast plains of the Serengeti.

          Day 8: Serengeti National Park

          From the heart of the Serengeti we continue our exploration of the vast park and spend our full day on game drives in the savannah of the Serengeti plains. The endless plains are the preferred feeding grounds for animals like zebras, wildebeests and antelopes. With luck we will find lions enjoying the view from a kopje.

          Day 9: Return to Karatu

          Early morning is the best time for a game drive and we make use of the early hours for a last exploration of the Serengeti and observe its fascinating wildlife. On close observation, we discover how different herbivores share the same feeding grounds, or have the luck to spot some well hidden predators like cheetahs, leopards. In the afternoon we commence our return to Karatu via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

          Day 10: Return to Arusha

            Day 4 : Serengeti National Park

            We spend the full day on an extended game drive to observe the great migration. Millions of zebras and wildebeests follow the rains in order to find fresh food. The stunning sights of this unique natural event will leave a lasting impression.

            Overnight we stay in a tourist class hotel in the Serengeti. The exact hotel will be determined shortly before your safari in order to insure proximity to the Great Migration.

            Day 5: Serengeti National Park

            The Serengeti plains are vast and we want to explore yet another part of it. We once more use the opportunity to observe the wildebeest migration but also find the time to explore nature on the side of the herds. We will be looking out for the predators attempting a catch in one of the herds.

            Overnight we stay in a tourist class hotel in the Serengeti. The exact hotel will be determined shortly before your safari in order to insure proximity to the Great Migration. 

            Day 6: Olduvai Gorge

            Early in the morning we go for a last, extensive game drive in the Serengeti. We will then you head back to Karatu with a stop at the Olduvai George, the cradle of mankind.

            Day 7: Karatu and return to Arusha

            In the morning, after breakfast, you will check out from your accommodation, as we head back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.

                After a pleasant arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or any other border posts of the country, you will be welcomed by one of the Beyond Africa Safaris representative who will initially meet and greet you. After a short introduction of himself, he will transfer you to your dedicated hotel within Arusha City for your night stay.

                Day 2: Tarangire National Park

                After breakfast, we will transfer you on tarmac road 120km to Tarangire National Park for game drives. After picnic lunch picnic there will be afternoon game viewing in the park, a home to Lion, Leopard, Elephant, buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more… Over 450 species of birds have been observed.

                Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park 

                Breakfast at 07:00am. Pick up from the Campsite at 0800am and drive on tarmac road 60km with lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km or 127 sq mile’s) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives. The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. In this park canoeing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This is a great way to see the park from a new perspective.

                Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Floor – Arusha

                Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 0730hours drive to Ngorongoro and descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for game drives. The crater is home to Black Rhino, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeests, Buffalos, Impalas and so many other Antelopes. Approximately 25,000 millions of different animals. Carnivores are pride of Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena and other small cats. Your lunch will be served on the picnic site at Ngoitoktok swamp a Hippo pool, after lunch proceeds with afternoon game viewing while ascending the Crater and drive back to Arusha for the drop off at Arusha Crown Hotel where you booked for the night bed and breakfast basis/or Drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.

                  Arusha National Park Wildlife Day Tour

                  This is the nearest park in Arusha and therefore it is easy for you to visit especially when you have a plan of Climbing Mount Meru or Mount Kilimanjaro. You still enjoy a sense of wildlife nearby the Arusha city.

                  Arusha National Park, often overlooked, is in fact a treasure, a rich tapestry of habitats, teeming with animals and birds. From the lush swamps of the Ngurdoto Crater to the tranquil beauty of the Momella Lakes and the rocky alpine heights of Mount Meru, the terrain of the park is as varied as it is interesting. The setting for Arusha National Park is magical: Zebras graze on the park’s red grasslands, and leopards lurk next to waterfalls in the shadowy forest. More than 400 species of bird, both migrant and resident can be found in Arusha National Park alongside rare primates such as the black-and-white colobus monkey. Delicate klipspringer antelope watch the progress of hikers from the top of huge boulders, and everlasting flowers cling to the alpine desert underfoot. Both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru can be seen from the park on a clear day.

                  Detailed Itinerary

                  This day trip will start early in the morning after breakfast at your hotel. your safari guide will drive 25km East of Arusha Town to Arusha National Park. you will enjoy seeing animals as well as a group of flamingos on alkaline crater lakes.

                  You will have a short break in the afternoon for lunch in some of the lodge found within this park. You will proceed to explore this park until evening where will be the end of your day trip and your guide will drive back to Arusha.

                  Ngorongoro Crater Day Tour

                  Your safari will start in the morning after breakfast at your Hotel/Lodge in Arusha.

                  You will be picked up by your Safari guide from the hotel/Lodge in Arusha town before starting your trip to Ngorongoro Crater .While you are on the way your guide will explain the different ecosystems of the crater, including the wildlife as well as the formation of the different landscapes.

                  At the base of the Crater Area in the Ngorongoro, we will have a game drive through some of the largest concentration of zebra, wildebeest which are usually followed by the Lions and Hyenas. Jackals are also seen on the safari game drives along with the occasional Leopards and Cheetah. The Crater Lake attracts species of birdlife like the flamingos and avocets which feed on the algae. Black Rhinos and the Occasional Solitary Bull elephants may also be seen in the Crater.Our safari ends with a lunch break before heading back in Arusha town.

                  Tarangire National Park Day Tour

                  Experience a single day game drive in Tarangire National Park.Tarangire National Park has been isolated to the southern zone from both Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.At Tarangire National Park, The baobab trees are a prominent feature of the park, their immense trunks stating a presence across much of the area.

                  The Tarangire River runs through the center of the park and its permanent water has become known as the ‘lifeblood’ for a multitude of animals. During the dry season many animals from the surrounding area make their way to this river to drink.

                  This park has a promising vegetation to support wild animals to enjoy while completing the the ecosystem. Here on the Great Rift Valley floor you will surrounded by the Acacia woodlands and giant African Baobab trees. Also in this park you will find the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem.

                  Be prepared to gain a new understanding of immense. The baobab trees are large but when you witness a herd of elephants, that can reach up to 300 strong, rubbing and bumping up against these trees snapping their large limbs like they were twigs…immense will seem like an understatement.

                  When you visit this park, it means you are in the middle of the highest population density of elephants in North – Tanzania.there is also a wonderful creatures that you can find in there as lions, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, various types of antelope and gazelles ambling to and from the river throughout the day.
